Celebrating the autumnal beginnings would really have to be with a delicious cake with fruits that instantly remind me of a happy childhood of returning to classes - Bravo Esmolfe apples [with an intense aroma and soft pulp, from Beira Alta, in Portugal] and nuts [crispy and tasty , what remained of last year' lot , from my parents' farm] - while the weather still resembles a mix of late summer, cut by cooler but still comfortable early mornings and dusk.
Ingredients:
- Bravo Esmolfe apples
- 1 lemon
- 2 mugs flour
- 1 mug sugar
- 1 mug dark brown sugar
- yeast
- cinnamon
- nuts
- 200g liquid butter
First cut the apples in half moon, sprinkle with dark brown sugar and squeeze in the juice of a lemon.Reserve. Break the walnuts into small pieces. Reserve. Beat the white sugar with the dark brown sugar and the butter. Add the eggs and beat well. Add the flour with the baking powder and beat again. Grease a mold with butter and sprinkle it with flour. Pour the batter and spread the pieces of nuts. On top, cover with apple slices and do not waste the juice juice. Take to a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40m.

- maçãs bravo esmolfe
- 1 limão
- 2 canecas farinha
- 1 caneca açúcar
- 1 caneca açúcar mascavado escuro
- fermento
- canela
- nozes
- 200gr manteiga líquida
