Out Of The Box

My obsession for accessories is such that I reach the height of collecting accessories for the house. Among a varied panoply each time bigger and bigger [shame on me!], one of my collections consists in decoration boxes. I promise herein right now that I will photograph them as soos as the house's ready and they are comfortable installed in their due places. These small objects have the power of assigning any room with a certain air of grace,besides their enormous usefulness and advantage, since they can orderly store an infinity of trinkets [make up, neclaces, bracelets, earrings...] that otherwise would be scattered around the house until we'd loose track of them once and for all. The surprise effect, the taste for the unknown, the curiosity of peeking waiting to find the unexpected - all contained in that little object of decór that enriches so much any environment. It is also fashionable to leave them half opened, with the little treasures lightly showing, calling for touching, for scrutiny. They are a way of discreetly showing off what we like most in a more unpretentious, more contained, but surely polished way. Often these boxes are repository of letters, love notes, relics, memories and intimate, recondite, deep secrets. They date time immemorial, they contain unalienable truths and startling revelations. Sometimes, some boxes, are better left closed, under lock and key. But there are other times , when  one has to come out of the box to reveal one's inner self! ;)
