Chanel 2.55 - I think I Love You!

Alexa Chung, a style icon of our time, in this picture represents perfectly the way I feel towards this unpaired piece of art, the ultimate symbol of luxury, elegance, sophistication, classic vs. modern dichotomy - the Chanel 2.55, named after its creation date, which was February 1955. Notice that she´s not merely kissing it, she actually licks it instead, which reveals more passion, desire, lust, crave and a bit of insanity - just the way I feel. Of course that counsciously I know that it is almost a crime to own such an expensive fashion item, let alone many, when the world is facing such a terrible financial crisis, but unconsciously my heart beats fast at the mere sight of one inside a simple magazine. My mind races towards the details that capture and strongly retain my attention - the background: it was created by a woman [Coco Chanel] and it was a revolutionary bag [the first shoulder bag], its intricate chains, the flap that has a secret compartment to hide love letters, the quilted diamond or herringbone pattern on the exterior and the running stitch gives it shape and volume. I've been dreaming about it for years, longing to touch and smell its soft leather, to wear  it close to me, gently caressing my shoulder, to show it aroung with pride and joy, to hug it close to my heart. Chanel 2.55 - I think I love you!

    OH MY GODNESS, everytime I see this bag I'm falling in love with it. Always! Are the girls who don't want it? I really don't think so. Well, too bad it's definitely not affordable for me but you can still have dreams right? So I love this bag as much as you do and think it's an allrounder. Almost every colour looks good at this type of bag, love the classy black, blue, red and nude most. The union jack and the one with the pearls at the bottom are also gorgeous! I LOVE IT TOO!
