May Beauty Buys

As a complete beauty devoted and unhealthily obsessed about it, today I'm introducing a new series in the blog - the beauty buys of each month, where three of my favourite products will be featured and reviewed. That being said, each month I will write about the products experienced through the previous month. I hope you'll enjoy it! I certainly did!!!

1. As Summer approaches my need for lighter and floral perfumes also awakens. Chance Eau Fresh by Chanel is a surprisinlgy fresh scent that feels clean, polished, classy and young, but not overtly girlie. It's a perfume I often pull out into rotation during Summer due to its citrus notes and crispness which are perfect in warm weather and because it is invigorating to me. I love the fact that it has a very good staying power and what's not to like about this modern, pretty bottle? It contains a beautiful blend of fresh citrus, wood (cedar is a top note) with some floral(hyacinth and jasmine), vetivier and patchouli.

2. I've only recently tried this brand and so far I like this illuminator a lot, specially for nightime. It provides a subtle glow that's not too shimery, but  is basically translucent, with just a hint of pearlized pigment, thus allowing your face’s natural highlights and curves to shine through. During daytime I only put it on after makeup, after blush, wherever light naturally hits my cheekbones. So far I'm enjoying it, though I don't wear it every single day.

3. Since it was advertised on TV I've been excited to get my hands [or feet] on this! I am pretty familiar with Dr. Scholl's products for feet and even nails for a long time and I can swear by their quality and effectiveness. The Velvet Smooth was a great buy and my at home pedicure has just reached another level. The gadget is very handy, it really helps remove unsightly dry skin from my feet and so long embarassing cracked heels!I like the ergonmic handle that's practical and comfortable to use and the abrasive file that is so efficient in removing dead skin from the feet surface - just beware to have your feet dry, not to stay in the same area for over 1 minute at a time and be sure have a towel underneath. Another advantage is that you'll see that the device is clean from residue of dead skin afterwards its usage.

  1. I haven't used any of these products but they seem great. xoxo
