Subway tiles got their names from the ceramic tiles used on the walls of the New York City subway stations in the early twentieth century. Having becoming a great decor tren these days, it's a great way to incorporate a traditional feel into your house without losing its contemporaneity, sleekness or minimalism. They portray a clean, crisp interior, a refined simplicity and elegant functionality and beautifully enhance the stainless steel appliances in you kitchen. Would you put them in your kitchen?
"But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams." William Butler Yeats

Hi Aida! I didnt know the origin of the word but now that I think of it, the tiles really remind me of that. And I really love them, Id put them in my dream kitchen for sure. I like the cozy and warm mood they create in the space which looks warmer and more comfy. Your inspiration is flawless! Happy Mardi Gras my dear, hope you have an amazing and fun day full of treats!:) Hugs! xo
