The resurgence of brass details in home décor is the living proof that glamour [without being ostentatious] is here to stay. It looks polished, tasteful and elegant. Often it isn't used lacquered anymore, like in the 70's, but raw instead which ends up by giving it a more matte deep patina which is attractive and will age greatly. I actually think of brass as more of a classic accent rather than a trend and I am really fancying its use in décor. I’m fond of brass is small doses, but I really do think it is a beautiful material. It seems like nowadays all that glitters is more likely to be brass!
"But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams." William Butler Yeats
