Tearing Apart

 My unconditional love for books has always made ​​me fear the shelves full of photographs, artifacts, trinkets that covered them, as if it were  a sacrilege to hide a book, almost a desecration to the object of worship that I most revere. However, over the years, I realized that actually the shelves and at the same time, the  books seem to have a life of its own when framed by one or other meaningful photograp, or by one or other original object, but especially when flanked, not covered, by stunning bookends!

O meu amor incondicional pelos livros fez-me sempre temer as estantes repletas de fotografias, artefatos,  bugigangas que os tapassem, como se fosse um sacrilégio ocultar um livro, quase uma profanação ao objeto de culto que eu mais venero. Contudo, com o passar dos anos, dei-me conta de que realmente as estantes e, cocomitantemente, os livros até ganham mais vida emoldurados por uma ou outra fotografia ocasional e com significado, um ou outro objeto original mas, sobretudo, quando ladeados, e não tapados, por cerra-livros espantosos!
