Find Of The Month - Makeup

This mascara by H&M was a great find for a quite affordable price tag and the tiny bristles actually hook onto each lash to separate and lengthen root to tip. I find this mascara quite buildable, and thanks to the tiny comb-like bristles, it doesn’t clump as you build volume. It's pretty dark, which is also a bonus for me.  It’s great purchase and absolutely worth a try. Have you tried it already?

Find Of The Month - Décor

I just have a major crush on this sleek, elegant and minimalistic silver jewelry box by ZARA HOME. It revealed the perfect sophisticated accent for my new white console . It is its primary(focal) piece as I wanted it to look clean, minimalist and simple in order to create  an expertly styled, magazine-worthy vignette look.

October Beauty Buys

When it comes to skin care products, I rely heavily on beauty bloggers. These were my last purchases and I'm so glad I was convinced to give them a try! I hope you'll enjoy them!

1.H&M's Pure Radiance Powder Blusher in Golden Peach has a black and gold trimmed plastic packaging  that's quite light but that still has a polished look and feel. The hexagonal black pan with a gold base is actually pretty awesome for high street makeup packaging.  The blush has high colour pigmentation and the shade Golden Peach is a soft, pretty somewhat shimmery golden peach blush and it's like a powdery cream that lasts a long time and looks simply amazing!

 2. Let me start by saying that for the most part my skin is in pretty good condition. I have never had acne or any skin problem during my teen years and also that's because from my early 20's I've always gone extra miles to take care of my skin . Nevertheless, due to my teenager years of recklessness towards the sun, a couple of yeras back  I started to  notice dark spots on my forehead Those dark spots became more visible after spending summer at the beach and for someone who had never had skin problems, they really started to bother me. I've tried a lot of products before but this one, by Caudalie, is on my top shelf now. I started to see somewhat dramatic positive results within 4 weeks. This milky serum  is not sticky at all; it absorbs into your skin instantly and doesn't leave any greasy residue. It has been helping me rejuvenate my skin, makes it look and more importantly feel fresh and radiant and the dark spots are progressively fading away. My skin holy grail is found!

 3. Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel is the perfect way to naturally give longevity to your tan during winter months in a safe and natural way. It applies and blends evenly with minimal effort, looks even and not a bit patchy.  The moussey, creamy-like texture feels light on the skin but is much longer lasting than just a powder alone. It's also great if you suffer from dry skin or prefer the dewy textured finish as it keeps your skin well hydrated by avoiding all powder-based products. The product is all housed in a small tub. The bottom portion is just a simple clear/frosted plastic tub, and the screw top lid is the signature shiny black of Chanel with the bronze double c’s in the center. It was love at first try out!

September Beauty Buys

Here are my Top Shelf makeup, skincare and beauty favorites for September. i hope you'll enjoy them!
1. I got this cleanser/ mask in a gift set. It has a thick and creamy texture and as I have combination skin and I like how this cleans my face and also like  the smell. You only need a pea-sized amount to cover the whole face and jaw area. It's super creamy and lush, and cleanses without stripping. A little goes a long way with this cleanser and that's important to keep in mind. Once a week I wear it as a mask because it has this dual effect and  my skin definitely felt clean after!

2. After reading so many good reviews about MAC's lipstick Snob [it is iconic in the blogger world], I decided to try it.  Many describe it as a neutral pink however I found this wasn't the case - for me it is a cool-toned light-medium pink with a subtle gray-tint and the texture is just a smidgen drier than other lipsticks I own. Due to the nature of this colour, it does settle into fine lines a bit but is very moisturising too so it still looks good. Overall I'm enjoying it and I love putting it with a smokey eye.

3. The Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadow comes in a shiny, plastic black case with clear top and on the bottom you find the eyeshadow’s name and other necessary details. Very affordable despite its great quality, this eyeshadow - Under Treasure, an antiqued gold shade - has a beautiful embossed pattern that shows off the multi-dimensional shimmers and reflects perfectly. You only need a little bit, and you’re good to go!

Tarte Framboise Aux Deux Chocolats

Whenever the occasion calls for a special treat serve this creamy, rich, double chocolaty filling in an easy unroll-and-fill pie crust. The raspberries sweetness, tartness, and freshness will refresh the chocolaty side of this tart  - The tartness of the raspberry pairs beautifully with the sweetness of the white chocolate, the bitterness of the dark chocolate and richness of the cream all in all and I'm certain you'll be sure to bake it again and again.

Ingredients:
  • raspberries
  • 1 shortcrust pastry
  • 100g Dark Chocolate
  • 200g white chocolate
  • 400 ml cream
  • 3 gelatine sheets

Preheat the oven to 200ºC. Bake the dough pricking the bottom with a fork and  set aside to cool after baked. Put the gelatin in a bowl with cold water. In a small saucepan, heat the cream. Out of the heat, add the gelatin previously drained. Mix to dissolve the gelatin and pour more than half of the hot cream into a bowl containing the white chocolate cut into pieces and then mix for a creamy ganache. Proceed to do the same with the dark choclate. Put the white chocolate cream cream into the crusty  tart and pour the dark chocolate on top mixing both with a toothpick. Let cool completely and decorate with the fruits. Place the pie in the freezer for about 20 m and then take it to the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Ingredientes:

  • framboesas
  • 1 massa quebrada
  • 200 gr de chocolate branco
  • 100 gr chocolate preto
  • 400 ml de natas
  • 3 folhas de gelatina

Pré-aqueça o forno a 200ºC. Coza a massa picando o fundo com uma garfo e deixe de parte à arrefecer.Demolhe as folhas de gelatina numa taça com água fria. Numa caçarola pequena, aqueça as natas.Fora do lume, junte a gelatina previamente escorrida.
