Ricotta Cake

Sometimes the best way to please an hostess is to bring them something they weren't expecting at all, but that will complement the meal perfectly and that will satisfy all the other guests. I love bringing something exquisite from a local bakery  besides the usual bottle of wine or, when I have the time, I prefer baking something delicious myself in order to show my affection and gratitude for the invitation. This was the case and it was the cherry on top for that happy celebratory day!

Ingredients:
  •  400gr sugar
  •  6 eggs
  •  200gr of melted butter
  •   400gr of cheese
  •   200gr flour
  •   2 teaspoons baking powder
  •   lemon juice to the clear
  •   2 white chocolates
  •   2 Cream packages 
  •   hazelnut chocolate

Beat the sugar with the melted butter. Add the egg yolks and beat. Add the cheese
diced with a fork, the flour and finally, involve only the egg whites already whisked with 3 tablespoons of sugar and a few drops of lemon. Pour the dough in buttered and floured mold. Bring to a preheated oven at 180°C for about an hour [do the toothpick test].

Ingredientes:
  • 400 g de açúcar
  • 6 ovos
  • 200 g de manteiga derretida
  • 400 g de requeijão
  • 200 g de farinha
  • 2 colheres de chá de fermento
  • sumo de limão para as claras 
  • 2 chocolates brancos
  • 2 pacotes de natas 
  • chocolate de avelãs
Bater o açúcar com a manteiga derretida. Juntar as gemas e bater. Adicionar o requeijão picado com um garfo, a farinha e por fim, envolver apenas as claras batidas em castelo, com 3 colheres de açúcar e algumas gotas de limão.  Verter o preparado numa forma untada com manteiga e enfarinhada. Levar a forno pré-aquecido a 180ºC durante cerca de 60 minutos [faça o teste do palito].
