Vanilla Flavour, Pineapple Accent

As a promise is binding, from now on, the presentation of the culinary rubric every Thursday will be [has the pretension of being] beautiful, pleasant, polished, funny, attractive and delicious! I've already changed the "Madeleines and Muffins" recipe's photos for more appealing ones - yes I've replaced the  photos just for you! Firstly because that's the way I truly appreciate life and afterwards because you, my dearest readers, so deserve it! Not necessarily by this order! ;) Bon apétit!

PS: I'm still developing my photographer skills!!!

Ingredients:
  • 2 tea cups flour
  • 2 tea cups sugar
  • 1 tea spoon butter
  • 1 soup spoon yeast
  • 4 eggs room temperature
  • 1/2 tea cup of milk
  • 1/2 tea spoon vanilla flavour
Pre-heat the oven 190ºC/ 4 gas

In a bowl mix the flour and the yeast. Beat up the eggs, the sugar, the butter, the milk for about 3 minutes with the mixer and pour over the floor with the yeast. Blend well and add the vanilla flavour. Use the  mixer again for about 5 minutes. Put the dough in a cake mould lightly greased with butter. Put it in the oven for about 35 minutes.

Filling:
  • culinary sour cream -  less calories but more difficult to thicken
  • 4 soup spoons of sugar
  • pineapple

Cover: Italian Meringe/ Marshmellow

  • 300 gr sugar
  • 30 ml water
  • 5 whites - room temperature
  • a pinch of salt
  • a few lemon drops
Put the sugar and the water in a pan and let it boil - DO NOT STIR!!! that mixture will turn into a kind of syrup. At the same time that the sugar is melting on the stove, put the egg whites and a pinch of salt in the mixer till it turns into egg foam/ whipped egg whites. When the melting sugar reaches the temperature of  114º C [in about 4-5 m time]: it will look like syrup, empty that in a bowl with the whites, never interrupting the beating up. Add the lemon juice drops and keep beating up until the meringe has hardened and cooled down [more or less 7 m]. I added the food pigment before finishing the beating.

PS: Ainda estou a apurar os dotes fotográficos!

Ingredientes:
  • 4 ovos
  • 1/2 chávena de chá de leite
  • 1/2 colher se sopa de essência de baunilha
Pré-aquece o forno a 190ºC/ 4 gás

Numa tigela misturas a farinha e o fermento.

Cobertura: Merengue Italiano
  • 300 gr açúcar
  • 30 ml de água
  • 5 claras de ovos
  • 1 colher de chá de sumo de limão

Coloca o açúcar e a água numa panela e deixa ferver, SEM MEXER!!!
