... the bee [me] tells the spider [Chaumet] challengingly. And by staring at me with its hypnotic poison [magnificent art pieces], I am the one who follows it instead, completely in trance, without being able to resist the vertigo of casting myself into this magical and glittering web which casts spells and charms, taking me to an enchanted realm, of times past, where Napolean offered these deleicacies to Josephine, a time of diamnonds and tiaras, of princes and castles, as if I found myself inside a History book and paradoxically I am aware that I belong to a world in constant chanege and modernization, moving hastily, in a rush, a world where, to the cosmopolitan woman, time presses and she emands her life to be simplified, minimalist, practical but always aesthetically charming. Chaumet assists both worlds - the real and the chimerical one. It has been turned into the icon of classical, of timelessness, of contemporeinity. Everything is exquisite, sophisticated, depurated, ecletic and absolutely beautiful. Chaumet's jewels are refined and they express unique moments that enclose sublime feelings. I am completely and utterly in love with them. if Diamonds or jewels are, as Marilyn Monroe said, a woman's best friend, who am I to disagree?
