Shrimps Kernels & Crab Sticks Pastry
This amazingly simple and easy to prepare delicacy features spicy and delicious shrimps kernels and crab sticks wrapped in a tender puff pastry sprinkled with savory sesame seeds and it can be used as an excellent appetizer - if in smaller bits - or as a whole meal [it is quite satisfyiyng] sided by a greenery salad on a more busy or lazy day.The rich flavour of the filling together with the crisp puff pastry is a combination made in heaven! 3 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic
4 tablespoons mustard
500gr shrimp kernels
250gr crab sticks
2 puff pastry sheets
In a frying pan place the butter and minced garlic. Add the shrimp kernels, salt and ground chili to taste. Let cook fo5 minutes. Add the sliced crab sticks and the mustard. Simmer and let cook for about 10m - until the sauce evaporates a bit. Place the filling into the puff pastry sheet but prick the bottom with a fork first and cover with another one. Press the sides with a fork. Give some cuts on top with the tip of a knife. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Take to a pre heated oven at 180º until golden brown.
