Orange & Chocolate Marble Cake - Valentine's Edition

Beautifully scented, deliciously tasty and a super decadent gooey cover makes this a perfect treat for the upcoming Valentine's day celebration - or any occasion really. Forget the typical dryness of marble cakes - this one has a tender, fluffly, soft texture that almost melts into your mouth, plus combining a classic flavour combination of orange and chocolate. It is moist, idela for a hot cup of coffee on the side on these dreary wintery days and it feels and looks so homey that it adds it an extra special feel. Wish you a loving and sweet Valentine's day ahead!

Ingredients:
  • 80 g of liquid butter
  • 250g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 300g flour
  • 1 teaspoon (tsp) baking powder
  • zest and juice of 2 medium oranges
  • 4 tablespoons of powdered chocolate
  • vanilla extract qs
  • 1 white chocolate
  • cream - 1 package
  • white chocolate nuggets
Whisk the egg whites and set aside. Beat well the butter with the sugar and add them to the egg yolks. Place the flour in the dough and mix well with the electric blender. Divide the dough into two equal parts and into one of them add the zest an the  juice of the oranges. Into the remainder put  the chocolate powder and a few drops of vanilla extract. Divide the beaten egg whites for each of the doughs mixing lightly. Grease a heart shaped mold with butter and line it with parchment paper. Place the doughs interspersed within the form, and with a kebab stick or the tip of a knife, scratch from one side to another to the mix. Take to bake at a pre heated oven at 180 ° C for about 45 minutes. After the allotted time, remove, let cool and unmold. In a frying pan hat the cream and add a teaspoon of butter and a white chocolate to make the ganache. Let it thicken and spread all over the cake once it has cooled a bit.

Ingredientes:

  • 80 gr de manteiga líquida
  • 250 gr de açúcar
  • 4 ovos
  • 300 gr de farinha
  • 1 colher (chá) de fermento em pó
  • raspa e sumo de 2 laranjas médias
  • 4 colheres (sopa) de chocolate em pó
  • aroma de baunilha q.b.
  • 1 chocolate branco
  • 1 pacote de natas
  • pepitas chocolate branco
Bata as claras em castelo e reserve. Bata bem a manteiga com o açúcar e junte-lhes as gemas. Coloque a farinha no preparado e ligue bem.
