Rustic Banana Cake
Save all your ripe bananas and transform them in this wonderful teatime treat for the next brunch with friends over the holidays. The touch of cinammon and the orange reveals to add a beautiful earthy fragrance to the cake and a twist in the flavour that despite marries perfectly the taste of the bananas. Its light and airy texture of the dough combined with the chunks of banana here and there and the light twist of the orange juice is a great combination. Believe me when I say this cake will be wonderful choice for your next baking project!
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1+ ½ cups sugar
- ½ cup of sunflower oil
- 2cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3 ripe bananas
- cinnamon and sugar to decorate
In a bowl beat the egg yolks, orange juice, sugar, oil. Separately, beat the egg whites. Bananas cut along its length into thin slices. Set aside. Strain the mixture into a bowl and add the flour gradually. Add the baking powder and mix. Gently place the egg whites into the cake batter and mix. Pour the batter into a square mold greased with butter and sprinkled with flour.Spread over the banana slices predusted with a little flour over the dough, covering the entire surface of the cake. Mix a little sugar and cinnamonin a bowl and sprinkle on top. Bake in preheated oven at 180º for about 55 minutes.
Ingredientes:
- 6 ovos
- 1 chávena de chá de sumo de laranja
- 1 + ½ canecas de açúcar de açúcar
- ½ chávena de chá de óleo de girassol
- 2 canecas de farinha
- 1 colher (sopa) fermento em pó
- 3 bananas maduras
- açúcar e canela para decorar
Numa
taça bata as gemas, o sumo de laranja, o açúcar, o óleo. Separadamente,
bata as claras em castelo. Corte as bananas no sentido do seu
comprimento, em fatias bem finas. Reserve. Passe a mistura para uma
tigela e adicione a farinha aos poucos. Acrescente o fermento em pó e
misture. Coloque delicadamente as claras na massa de bolo e misture.
Despeje a massa para uma forma untada e polvilhada com farinha. Em cima
da massa espalhe as fatias de banana previamente polvilhadas com um pouco de farinha
cobrindo toda a superfície do bolo. Misture um pouco de açúcar e canela
e polvilhe por cima. Leve ao forno pré-aquecido 180° cerca de 55 minutos.
