Attic Offices

Do those of you who are fortunate to have an attic [usually the most forgotten room in the house] thought of transforming it into your brand new home office already? The attic space is usually small but enough for a fully functional and also cool home office with a calm, pleasant and cozy hideaway vibe -where you can isolate/ take your time off from the hustle and bustle of family life -  not to mention the fact that the view there is usually better than from other rooms. Revamping your attic to turn it into an office space can be a big project, but one that certainly has a great reward.

Ankle-Length Coats

Long winter coats whose hem finishes about your ankle are not only super warm, but also incredibly fashionable. Though some women dislike floor length coats for its impracticality, these ankle length ones seem just right - they're weather-ready, look professional but cool and are super versatile. I cannot forgo at least one in my winter wardobe. What about you?

In The Mood For

{fighting colds with extra doses of Vitamin C}

There really is nothing I love as much as a lazy Saturday/ Sunday morning followed by an unhurried afternoon and this perspective is finally on the horizon. I have three 3 series on the agenda for this weekend - Making  a Murderer[a documentary], Narcos and American Horror Story 5  [can hardly wait to get to this one and it'll be a marathon, no less than that!] and it's high time to declutter my beauty supplies, get my tools in order and find what's missing [so that I do not keep on stockpiling irrationally countless nailpolishes and lipsticks with identical colours] and put them in the nice acrilic containers I acquired recently. As for my skincare regime, as the months go by [and years, inevitably] I am trying harder to focus on fresh, glowing skin - a dewiness that comes from being healthy and taking care of myself from the inside-out and wearing as little makeup as possible [I can't understand how people have the time/ patience for so much contouring on a daily basis]. I'm still struggling with cozying up my new house and make it inviting and comfortable, but I guess that just doesn't happen overnight on a limited budget, right?Have a nice weekend! I'm in the mood for...

{comfort wear - chunky knits, baggy pants, super fancy shoes}

 {obsessing over this long bob + beautiful ombré}

 {on my wishlist to try very soon}

 {hunting for the perfect 70's mod armchairs for my living-room}

{I had this one frozen since Christmas and now sounds perfect for today's dreary weather}

Honey & Lemon Cake

Don't you just love a piece of rustic cake with a good cup of tea when it's raining cats and dogs outside? Well if you're anything like me you'll love this simple but really flavourful cake, golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside, bright yellow and fluffy on the inside,. Infused with the tastes of honey and the super tasty, fragrant and tangy biological lemons from my parents' farm [ lemons always make me think of summer, no matter what the weather is doing outside] is a true delight you'll experience, so simple and easy and though the perfect balance of sweet and tart.

Ingredients:
  •  4 eggs
  • 175 g of wheat flour
  • 150g of brown sugar
  • zest of 1 lemon
  •  juice of 1 lemon
  •  1 teaspoon baking powder
  •  5 tablespoons of  honey
Preheat oven to 180ºC. Grease a round cake mold with hole in the middle with butter and sprinkle with flour. In an electric mixer, beat the eggs with the sugar and lemon zest until you get a homogeneous mixture. Then addthe  lemon juice and the honey and beat for about 3 minutes. Reduce to low speed, add the flour mixed with baking powder and beat until the mixture is creamy. Pour the dough into the mold and bake forabout 30-40 minutes in a pre heated oven at 180º. Poke a toothpick in the middle and it comes out  dry, the cake is cooked. Remove the cake from the oven and unmold it when it's cooled

Ingredientes:

  • 4 ovos
  • 175gr de farinha de trigo
  • 150gr de açúcar mascavado
  • Raspa de um limão
  • Sumo de um limão
  • 1 colher de chá de fermento em pó
  • 5 colheres de sopa de mel
Pré-aqueça o forno a 180ºC.
