I've always had mixed feelings about this bold colour - for years I kind of avoided wearing it for it was associated to mourning, but at the same time it appealled to me and I knew there was more to it than just the idea of ceasing. That's when Prince came along singing "I only wanted to see you bathing in the purple rain" - with its languor, sultriness, chill giving and tremendous implicit lust - and I surrendered myself to it, utterly and completely. This Spring it comes in a variety of hues from daring purple, to ladylike lavander to soft violet. It uplifts moods, calms down nerves and encourages creativity.It's flattering in many shades and it suits most skin tones, hair colours or ages. It's very wearable in accessories, it's linked to power and spirituality, it's unconventional, it can be teamed either with dark or light neutral colours and it is even appropriate to wear multiple shades of purple in an outfit. Being a hue combining both blue and red, in lighter shades it can be very sensual, feminine, seductive and intimate, not to mention romantic. I don't know about you but this Summer I'll certainly go purple!

Foi quando o chegou o Prince a cantar "I only wanted to see you bathing in the purple rain" - com o seu langor, delicadeza, a causar arrepios e tremendo desejo implícito - e eu rendi-me a ela, total e completamente. Nesta Primavera que vem numa panóplia de tons de roxo desde ousados ao lavanda feminino ao violeta suave. Eleva o humor, acalma os nervos e estimula a criatividade. É lisonjeiro em muitos tons ecombina com vários tons de pele, cores de cabelo ou idades. É muito usável em acessórios, está ligado ao poder e à espiritualidade, não é convencional, pode ser usado tanto com tons mais escuros ou claros neutros e até é apropriado usar-se vários tons de roxo num só coordenado. Sendo uma cor que combina tanto o azul quanto o vermelho, em tons mais claros, pode ser muito sensual, feminino, sedutor e íntimo, já para não dizer romântico. Eu não relativamente a vocês, mas este Verão eu vou certamente numa de roxo!
